SO HERE IT IS, SNG

long time no blog, eh. people complain yadda blah.
my glorious stay-out driving course – the only glorious thing about it being the ‘stay-out‘ part, of course – will soon come to an end. one last week, and then it’s back to good ol’ selarang and the toilet which i must wash. having passed every test written, oral or practical thrown at me so far (no easy feat, may i add) i have earned myself one saturday off which is pathetic and measly and disproportionate to the amount of effort i actually put in but nevertheless it is not something everyone’s getting so (y)
and soon i will be in possession of hair that can take shapes other than the vague form of an abused toilet brush <3
nothing’s really worth anything these days

it’s good to know you’re still alive, after all this while.

much as i agree that being long, upright and firm are virtues that should be glorified and perhaps even… emulated, i find it rather difficult to take you, or your organisation, seriously if the very sigil upon which your principles and values are emblazoned is a bunch of bamboos.
re: false hopes
shawn: lol your tummy is getting smaller
shawn: aren’t you happy
wee: :D
wee: well it’s still there
shawn: lol but it’s getting smaller
shawn: then it’ll become almost-not-there
shawn: then you’ll eat and become fat again, oh well
wee: D:

plane crashed during army overseas exercise in taiwan and killed two young singaporeans. apparently sec1 and 2 classmate from catholic high got leukaemia. not a close friend or anything, but still … it’s rather terrifying; made me realise all over again how fragile everything really is, and how we just take everything for granted. i hope he’ll be fine; there isn’t anything i can do.

so this fellow platoonmate of mine who’s totally fighting fit and all utterly flops his pre-motorcycle-course proficiency test — a most treacherous set of tasks involving insurmountable feats of mounting a bicycle and riding it in a straight line, gasp! — and subsequently became a candidate fielding for the post of our division commander’s personal assistant i.e. working for the biggest mojo ever. said platoonmate is sadly quite a klutz so if he lands the job our division is doomed.
meanwhile my stay-out course started today and will last for one month ! i don’t even mind the fact that the godforsaken place is half a bajibillion miles away from my home or that i have to wake up at unearthly hours or that i have to do 350 mcq’s everyday.
i actually missed my camp today.

woman whose son was recently kidnapped: *is sleeping*
wwswrk: *wakes from dreams of said son*
wwswrk: my son, my son!
friend: why don’t you go home and get some sleep
wwswrk: no! i won’t be able to sleep until we find him!
… yup.
i thought it was quite depressing that channelnewsasia decided to have english subtitles for interviews of americans speaking in english.
